Wouldn’t your pet enjoy its food more if it took more time to eat?
When dogs eat too fast, they can have digestive upset or stomach problems.
To train your dog to eat more slowly, there is a hard rubber toy, called the Kong Wobbler, that can turn your dog’s mealtime into a game.

Wouldn’t your dog enjoy the challenge of sniffing for hidden treats?
- Gather a variety of high quality, small dog treats.
- Place the treats in easy to find places in your home such as behind a pillow, by the foot of a chair or table, or on a low window ledge. Allow the dog to watch where you hide them.
- Allow the dog to search for the treat. Once they find the treat, reward, and praise them.
- For more challenge, the next time, hide the treats in another room, without your dog watching where you hide them.
- Each time they find a treat, give praise.
Shuffle the Cups Game
Here are the steps:
- Gather 3 or 4 small plastic or metal child size cups, like an egg cup.
- Turn the cups upside down and place on a flat surface, such as a low table, in front of your dog.
- Place treats under one of the cups and shuffle the cups.
- Have your dog sniff around the cups to find the cup that has the treat.
- Immediately praise your dog and give them the treat.
Teach Your Dog to Give You a Kiss
Put a dab of peanut butter or cream cheese on your cheek or chin or wherever you want to have the dog lick you. Say “give me a kiss” while the dog licks you. It won’t be long before your dog does this on command whether or not you have any reward!
Hopefully, the games have given you and your dog some time to interact and have some fun!
